Work-Based Learning Made Easier for Employers (Virtual Session)
Thursday, October 29, 2026 (2:00 PM - 3:00 PM) (CDT)
Description
Following the regional Work-Based Learning Launch in April 2026, the FMWF Chamber, Golden Path Solutions, and local schools are offering two virtual support sessions designed specifically for employers interested in engaging students through work-based learning.
These sessions are designed to make work-based learning easier to understand and easier to put into practice. Employers will have the opportunity to ask questions, receive hands-on guidance with the Compass system, and explore practical ways their organization can provide meaningful career-connected experiences for students.
Whether your organization is ready to post an opportunity, needs assistance creating or updating its Compass profile, is still determining what type of work-based learning experience makes sense, or simply has questions about how to get started, these sessions are designed to meet employers where they are.
These will be interactive, “shoulder-to-shoulder” working sessions with time for questions, troubleshooting, and individualized assistance.
Choose the session that works best for you:
- October 29, 2026 | 2:00 p.m. (Register Here)

- Identify work-based learning opportunities that fit their organization, workforce needs, and capacity.
- Receive assistance creating, updating, or strengthening their employer profile in Compass.
- Learn how to share work-based learning opportunities with students through Compass.
- Better understand the support available from education and workforce partners.
- Ask questions about scheduling, supervision, student engagement, logistics, or other considerations related to hosting students.
- Leave with clear next steps for engaging in work-based learning.

This session is designed for employers who:
- Are interested in engaging students but aren't sure where to begin.
- Already offer work-based learning experiences and want to better utilize Compass.
