Insider Access: Work-based Learning - From Interest to Impact

The Fargo Moorhead West Fargo Chamber will convene a high-impact regional Work-Based Learning (WBL) Kickoff and Commitment Event designed to accelerate employer adoption of work-based learning as a core workforce strategy.

The Fargo Moorhead West Fargo Chamber invites business and industry leaders to join Insider Access: Work-Based Learning – From Exploration to Career Readiness, a regional event bringing together employers, superintendents, and workforce partners to align around the future of our workforce. Work-based learning is one of the most practical and effective ways employers can strengthen the future workforce. Through internships, mentorship, job shadows, and other real-world learning experiences, businesses play a direct role in preparing students for careers while strengthening the long-term vitality of our regional economy. 

During this event, superintendents from Fargo Public Schools, West Fargo Public Schools, and Moorhead Area Public Schools will unveil shared regional goals to expand work-based learning opportunities for students across the region. Employers will also hear directly from businesses and students who have experienced the impact of work-based learning and learn how organizations of all sizes can participate.

Whether your company already offers internships or is exploring work-based learning for the first time, this event will provide practical insight, regional context, and a clear pathway to get involved.

The event will conclude with a regional commitment moment, inviting employers to publicly signal their interest in exploring or expanding work-based learning opportunities. Participating businesses will have access to tools and support through Compass by Golden Path Solutions, helping organizations connect with students and implement work-based learning experiences that fit their workforce needs.
