Understanding how to support veterans in the workplace is vital to the success of both businesses and communities. For many veterans, the transition from military to civilian employment can be filled with uncertainty, misalignment and unspoken barriers. As employers and community leaders, we have the chance to make that change easier.

Join us for this virtual lunch and learn is built to equip you with resources to better serve and retain veteran talent.

Who Should Attend:
Community stakeholders looking to improve engagement, service, and retention of individuals from underserved and historically excluded populations. This includes HR professionals, business owners, managers, and those who work directly with hiring, training, and supporting employees.

Common Challenges Veterans Experience:

  • Adjusting to less structured civilian workplaces.
  • Translating military roles into civilian job descriptions.
  • Finding a renewed sense of purpose post-service.
  • Navigating differences in age or experience with colleagues.

This session will provide:

  • A deeper understanding of these workforce barriers.
  • Strategies to create inclusive, veteran-ready environments.
  • Access to resources for recruiting and retaining veteran talent. 
  • A chance to hear from experts who work directly with veterans.
