2026 City of Moorhead Mayoral Debate
Tuesday, October 20, 2026 (6:30 PM - 8:00 PM) (CDT)
Description

The next mayor of Moorhead will help shape decisions that influence economic growth, community development and the city's future for years to come. Before voters head to the polls, hear directly from the candidates seeking to serve in this important leadership role.
Hosted by the Fargo Moorhead West Fargo Chamber of Commerce, the Greater Moorhead Business Association, and Downtown Moorhead Inc., this nonpartisan debate provides voters, business leaders and community members with an opportunity to gain insight into each candidate's priorities, leadership approach and vision for Moorhead. Through opening and closing statements, moderated discussion and a rapid-response round, candidates will share their perspectives on the opportunities and challenges facing the city.
Discussion will focus on issues important to residents, employers and community stakeholders, including economic development, public safety, workforce, infrastructure and regional collaboration. Attendees will have the opportunity to compare perspectives, evaluate leadership styles and gain a deeper understanding of each candidate's approach to governance and decision-making.
The debate will be held at the Moorhead Public Library and will follow a structured format designed to ensure fairness, consistency and equal opportunity for all participants, helping voters make informed decisions ahead of Election Day.
