Born and raised in Fargo, Steve joined Scheels in 1972 and went on to serve as President, CEO, and Chairman—helping grow the company into one of the largest sporting goods retailers in the nation. Beyond his extraordinary business success, Steve has devoted decades to community service with organizations ranging from the United Way and Junior Achievement to Friends of the Children and the Legacy Children’s Foundation. 

This special evening will also feature a performance by the NDSCS Concert Choir and a celebration of 50 years of Women’s Athletics at NDSCS—a milestone recognizing the achievements of women at NDSCS. Don’t miss this opportunity to hear from one of our region’s most respected leaders while celebrating the rich traditions of NDSCS.
