YPN: Intentional Introductions - 2026

Intentional Introductions is a signature Young Professionals Network (YPN) experience designed to create meaningful connections, spark new ideas and provide access to the people, perspectives and experiences that can help young professionals grow.

This high-impact event brings together emerging leaders and engaged professionals from across the region in a welcoming, interactive environment where authentic conversations happen naturally. Whether you're looking to expand your network, gain career insight, explore new opportunities or simply meet other driven young professionals, Intentional Introductions is designed to help you make connections that matter.

Through a structured yet relaxed format, participants intentionally engage with multiple community leaders, asking questions, sharing experiences and learning from one another's personal and professional journeys. Conversation prompts and support from YPN volunteers help ensure every interaction is meaningful, productive and enjoyable.

Rooted in YPN's mission of developing and connecting the next generation of leaders, Intentional Introductions creates opportunities for learning, collaboration and relationship-building that extend beyond the event itself.

How It Works

1. Set Your Intention

Before the event, take a moment to think about what you're hoping to gain from the experience. Are you looking to grow your network, explore a new career path, find community connections, learn from someone in a different industry or build confidence in meeting new people?

2. Plan Your Connections

Prior to the event, you'll receive a digital participant guide featuring the leaders participating in Intentional Introductions. You'll be able to learn more about their professional backgrounds, industries, interests and areas of expertise.

The experience is most valuable when approached intentionally. Review the guide in advance and make note of the individuals you'd most like to connect with based on shared interests, career goals or professional experiences.

3. Rotate and Expand Your Network

Throughout the event, you'll participate in a series of focused conversations, giving you the opportunity to meet multiple leaders in a short amount of time. Each introduction lasts approximately 8 minutes, allowing you to build meaningful connections while learning from a variety of perspectives and experiences.

4. Leave with New Connections

You'll walk away with expanded networks, fresh ideas and meaningful relationships that can support your personal and professional growth. While Intentional Introductions is designed as a one-time networking experience rather than a formal mentoring program, the conversations are intended to create connections that can continue long after the event ends.
